Peaceful place near the Main Market

When we planned our trip to Mcleodganj I almost went through 100 hotels as we were travelling with senior citizens — it was a must for us to locate a hotel near the main square, rooms with some view and on the ground floor. This was no doubt a perfect choice. We stayed in room no 108 — it had a partial valley view and snow-clad mountain view on one side and a small lawn in the front. No doubt we liked everything at this place — the room service was free and prompt, the choice of breakfast was amazing. Chicken cutlets, pakoda etc. We enjoyed our stay at Chinar Residency.

Best location

This is the only place in McLeodganj which has a lawn and ample parking. The lobby and guest areas have marbled flooring, well lit. The rooms have large area with wooden flooring and added natural light. Proactive helpful staff.

A quaint no frills hotel

Location: Located just a few minutes' walk from the main market. It is a steep walk from the market and the hotel is located in a quiet, secluded bylane. The seclusion is actually something that works in the hotel's favour. We were greeted with a gorgeous view of the snow-clad mountains from our room.

Hotel/Rooms: From the outside, the hotel is a pretty structure, an old-fashioned cottage with a mini garden. We stayed in the family room which had two huge rooms with attached bathrooms and a small balcony. The rooms were spotlessly clean.

Service: Room service was prompt and the food was delicious. The breakfast menu is great and we had fresh towels every day. The staff were courteous and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a peaceful stay in McLeodganj.

A Home Stay Without Luxuries

This is a good hotel for those who want to stay in a hotel which is quiet and not far from the main mall area with basic amenities and home like good food. The staff is nice, attends to you well, the food is made fresh and is delicious, home like, the rooms are spacious and walking distance from the Dalai Lama's Monastery and the main mall area. Nice clean rooms & bathrooms — a comfortable stay!

Second Home!

We are very frequent travellers to McLeodganj. And we always stay at the Chinar Lodge. And have been doing it for ages. The best location in the hill station. Away from the market yet very close to it as well. The staff is simple and friendly. Rooms & toilets are spacious & clean. Luxury of a lawn & car parking which is very rare in such places.

Perfect Stay

I stayed here in summer vacations with my family. The location is very peaceful. It is just in front of the HPTDC Hotel "The Bhagsu". The rooms and the hotel is very spacious and clean. I loved the place as it is just at a walking distance from the market. You can go for a run towards Bhagsu or the Monastery in the morning easily. In the evenings you can enjoy the tourist crowd in the market.

Beautiful Vacation

Had a wonderful time at this place. It was a home away from home! Excellently looked after by the staff — Mr. Premchand, Kamal and Anil. This is a small lodge a little away from the market but not so far! Definitely recommend it for families. Our daughter fell ill and they looked after us so well. Meals are prepared fresh. Ask for chai/hot water — you name it and we got it. Stayed there for 4 nights and 5 days.

Wonderful Place in McLeodganj

Our family of four persons from age 20 yrs to age 78 years visited McLeodganj from 18th to 22nd June 2013. We stayed at Chinar Lodge Hotel and were very impressed with this property. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Service was very prompt. Food was prepared as per order and was always fresh.

A Lovely Place to Be with Family and Friends

A very good hotel to stay with family and friends, located at the best place in McLeodganj, easily approachable from the bus stand. We had a great stay from June 13 to June 15, 2013. The hotel has very good rooms, awesome food, awesome staff, and the rooms are very clean. I would suggest all my dear traveller friends to approach them directly and should stay here whenever you are in McLeodganj. Simply beautiful!
